Course Resources

Each course is run on our dedicated Joomla training website that provides both online versions of the printed course notebook, how-to's and a live work area. This training website is available to students for a minimum of 1 month after the course so that they can safely try out their new skills or experiment with an idea before using on a live website.

At the end of each course a student is provided with a Certificate of Completion for the particular course undertaken.

Schedule

We generally run our scheduled courses 2 to 3 times per year with the schedule advertised on our main website.

In-house

For organisations that have in-house requirements we can run any of our courses on an as needed basis. The only requirement for existing courses is the minimum student numbers.

For course tailored to your specific website configuration there will be a additional charge for any sections of the desired curriculum not already available in an existing course — in most cases where we are already experienced with the particular extension to Joomla the additional lessons can be created in 3-4 hours.

General Course Information

This section contain general information about our courses such as start times, breaks and general requirements. For specific information about any of the course please see the full course description page.

General Information

The course structures following a standard training requirement in that each course involves a set of key lessons which are reviewed and assessed to ensure the students have been able to understand the course material. If completed successfully students will receive a Certificate of Completion for the particular course undertaken.

Organisations also receive a statement of achievement, including the final score, for any staff they have sent to our courses.

Daily Timetable

Start: Students should be ready to commence the course at 08:30 and should ideally arrive 10-15 minutes before the course commences to prevent any course time being lost to last minute issues.

Finish: Courses are intended to finish at 16:30 each day but may extend out to 17:00 if students require additional time.

The 3-day advanced courses require more time and finish at 17:00 on the first two days and at 16:30 on the last day.

Venue Facilities

The training centres we use in Brisbane and Sydney are centrally located and close to public transport.

All venues provide tea, coffee and water during breaks and a light sandwiches during lunch breaks.

While we can't account for all special dietary requirements we can advise the venues of anything we are made aware of.

In-house Courses

When courses are run for an organisation the venue can be any suitable training centre, generally we can locate one within a suitable distance of the organisations main location. Alternatively if the organisation has a suitable internal facility we can run the course in-house — in these cases the course fees are corresponding reduced.

In-house facilities will need an internet connected computer for each with a recent web browser.

An internet connection and data projector for the trainers laptop will also be required.

Drinks and lunches will be the responsibility of the students for courses run using internal facilities.
